The Council has a Customer Charter which focuses on 9 Statements:-


“We, the Officers and Members of the Teluk Intan Municipal Council promise to carry out our duties with full responsibility in order to meet the needs of our customers”.
In order to meet the above objective, we have set our goals and the implementation will be as follows:-

  1. To handle each complaint immediately and to investigate within 24 hours except for weekends and Public holidays.
  2. Implement Municipal Services as follows;
    • Garbage collection and cleaning;
      • City centre every day.
      • Residential Areas on alternate days.
    • Cleaning of drains.
      • City centre once a month.
      • Residential Areas once a month.
    • Grass cutting once a month for all areas.
  3. Licence Application Approval;
    • Hawkers licence, market, stalls and permits within 3 days.
    • Business trading and industrial licence within 30 days.
  4. Transaction at Payment Counters will not exceed 10 minutes.
  5. 5. Settlement of claims within 9 working days upon receipt of complete documentation.
  6. To process appeals of valuation objection within 1 month, transfers of ownership and changes of address immediately.
  7. Issuance of bills;
    • Assessment for the first ½ of the year not later than 15 December and not later than 15 July for the second ½ of the year.
    • Annual Licence Bill not later than 15 December.
  8. To consider Simultaneous Applications of Planning Permission, Land Conversions, Breaking of Boundaries, Layout Plans and Development Proposals within 139 days.
  9. Applications for Detached House construction plan and Building Renovation within 7 days from receipt f complete application documents.
